Nurturing Well-being

May is always a vibrant month full of new beginnings and activities, bringing with it the promise of renewal and growth, making it the perfect time to reflect on our personal and professional well-being. At Vivid Edge, we are committed to a culture where open communication and strong leadership support your growth and job satisfaction. Our mission, deeply embedded in our daily operations, is to support each of you in achieving not just your professional targets but also in finding fulfillment and satisfaction in your work and personal lives.

Our May newsletter was packed with resources and suggestions aimed at uplifting your mental health and overall well-being. Here’s a brief summary of what we covered and the actions we inspired.

Key Actions and Activities

Monthly "Choose Your Challenge"

  • Tidy-up Tuesday:

We encouraged everyone to declutter their workspaces, both at home and in the office. This simple act can significantly boost focus and efficiency. This was especially timely as we are moving to a new office soon, making it the perfect opportunity to clean up and organise our workspace.

  • Wellness Wednesday:

We suggested engaging in physical activities, from lunchtime walks to virtual yoga classes, to help relieve stress and improve mood. Here are some resources to get you started:

Office stretches

  • Thankful Thursday:

Reflecting on and sharing things you’re grateful for fosters a positive mindset, which is linked to improved mental health.

Daily Inspiration

We introduced the “Action for Happiness calendar” which offers daily prompts to focus on personal well-being. Integrating these suggestions into your routine has been a great way to maintain a positive outlook. You can find the monthly Action for Happiness Calendar here

Team Building

  • Arboretum Team Day Out

Our team outing to the Arboretum Garden Centre was a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a refreshing break and connect with nature. During this visit, we also had the chance to check our latest project implementation in person. It was an excellent opportunity to see the concrete results of our work and dedication. Additionally, our Technical Director provided valuable insights, sharing the technical aspects of the project. This hands-on experience not only enhanced our understanding but also inspired us for future projects.

  • Celebrate Birthdays

Celebrating birthdays together has helped strengthen our team bond. Our team has three birthdays in May.

  • Participate in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon

We participated in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon, combining physical activity with charitable giving. We fundraised for Barnardos Ireland, which provides vital resources for Irish children, and the Eunice-Upendo Project in Kenya, which offers essential support and opportunities to orphaned children.

Looking Ahead

May has been a month filled with health, happiness, and personal growth for Vivid Edge. We hope that the activities and insights shared in this blog inspire you to prioritise your mental health and well-being, not just in May, but throughout the entire year. Remember, incorporating even small well-being practices into your daily routine can make a significant difference in your overall happiness and productivity.
